Gazetted BOE no. 306, of December 22, 2022 Start Up Law for Spain
Spain’s new Start-up Law. Legislation aimed at attracting entrepreneurs and boosting the country’s tech scene. It gives freelancers and remote workers drawing a salary outside the EU the right to remain in Spain for an initial period of one year if you apply at your local consulate or embassy, with the option to extend for up to five years. If you apply within Spain then you get a residence visa valid for 3 (three) years.
The new Digital Nomad Visa/Teleworker Visa was gazetted by the King of Spain (King PHILIP VI) and the President of the Government, PEDRO SÁNCHEZ PEREZ-CASTEJÓN (the actual gazette, translated to English), is available as a FREE e-book should you wish to download it here for your perusal! NOTE: The gazette contains the laws and requirements and not the actual process for application. The actual process for application is available in the comprehensive E-Guide, which as at 16 April 2023 I am unable to publish due to the information for Social Security being updated on this weekend of 15/16 April 2023.
Nationals of third countries who travel to Spain to carry out a remote work or professional activity for companies located outside the national territory, through the exclusive use of computer, telematic and telecommunication media and systems can apply for the Digital Nomad Visa.
