The Digital Nomad Visa for Spain is now available and can be applied for online directly from the UGE-CE (Unidad Grandes Empresas y Colectivos Estratégicos), and foreigners wishing to move remotely to Spain can now start their applications online from within Spain. Applications at your local Spanish consulate or embassy will only be possible once their systems are updated. Pretoria Spanish Embassy has indicated they should have their system updated May 2023, todate 16 April 2024 they are still not updated. The best solution is to apply from within Spain on a tourist visa if your Spanish embassy/consulate have not updated their systems. Keep checking on a regular basis to see if your local Spanish Consulate or Embassy has updated their system for a TELEWORKER VISA.
Nationals of third countries who travel to Spain to carry out a remote work or professional activity for companies located outside the national territory, through the exclusive use of computer, telematic and telecommunication media and systems can apply for the Digital Nomad Visa.
